The GRE consists of three main sections:

  • Analytical Writing: This section measures your ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively. It includes two writing tasks: analysing an issue and analysing an argument.
  • Verbal Reasoning: This section evaluates your comprehension and critical thinking skills through reading passages and questions. It tests your ability to analyse written material, understand the meaning of words and sentences, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Quantitative Reasoning: This section assesses your mathematical and problem-solving abilities. It includes questions on arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis.

  • Integrated Reasoning (IR):The IR section evaluates the candidate's skills in interpreting and analysing data presented in different formats, such as tables, graphs, and charts.
  • Quantitative Reasoning:This section assesses the test taker's mathematical and quantitative abilities, including problem-solving, data sufficiency, and interpretation of data.
  • Verbal Reasoning:The verbal section evaluates the candidate's reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction skills.
